Blue Donkey Studio represents two ceramic artists and best friends: Lea Cundy and Kathie Alonso.
Each of us have home studios in the Bastrop area. Lea is well known for her vibrant wildflower pottery. It
is sought after and collected by both Texas residents and Texas visitors.
Lea is also well known for creating custom murals in many private homes in the area. Kathie is newer to the ceramic art media and has
been encouraged and mentored by Lea. Kathie is very inspired by nature, wildlife
and our animal companions. Samples of both of our pottery can be seen at the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild. Lea’s,
at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Gift Shop at the Hyatt Lost Pine's Resort. Kathie's pottery
is represented by the gallery at Clayways Studio in Austin. We also attend several
art festivals throughout the year. If you are interested in seeing our work in
person; just contact us for our schedule. On the top you will find a “Gallery” representing each or our pottery. You will also find purchasing and ordering information. Both of us are available for
